Under the cover of darkness, many major brand gas stations across the city have pumped up their posted price to 116.9.
 That's a seven cent a litre increase which will add $3.50 to a fifty litre fill up. 
 And the new price seems to defy marketplace gravity.
 The global crude price is soft and the local wholesale price of gasoline remains low.
 Some stations are still posting the old price so shop around while you still can.
