The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team has ruled in favour of Calgary Police in relation to a shooting last summer.
A 40 year old man was killed when he was shot in his Erin Woods home after wielding a knife at officers in a threatening manner.
Police were called to the home after receiving a 9-1-1 call about a woman in distress.
The victim, Corey Peeace, was shot four times.
Police confirm that they had been called to the home before the shooting and that Peeace had previously been tasered.
