The Canadian Taxpayers Federation is cutting drivers a break - handing out envelopes filled with cash in hopes of sending a message to the federal government.
The CTF handed out envelopes of cash at a gas station in southeast Calgary Wednesday morning symbolizing how your money at the pump goes straight to Ottawa's pockets.
Alberta Director Scott Hennig says 22 per cent of what you pay at the pump goes to the federal government.
The CTF is calling for a five cent per litre tax cut.
