Police say a young man who was allegedly jaywalking across Whyte Avenue between 105 and 106 Street early this morning was hit by a vehicle.
The collision happened between 1:00am and 2:00am.
When emergency crews arrived he was unconscious, but woke up and was taken to hospital.
Police say he may have serious injuries but they appear non-life threatening.
Police say with all the jaywalking on Whyte Avenue, collisions like this are inevitable, and it's lucky the man wasn't injured more seriously.
It appears the driver was not at fault so charges likely won't be laid. (gb, kdr)
