If you want to be part of the ‘C of Red’ for the playoffs – and you don’t have season tickets already – you’re going to need a little luck. A lottery system will be used to determine who gets to purchase tickets.
A total of 3,000 tickets will be made available to non-season ticket holders for each game. The club will use three different avenues to sell the tickets.
On the Flames website, an online e-mail registration system will be used for people who want the opportunity to purchase tickets. Winners will be drawn at random and once notified will have 24 hours to purchase one pair of tickets to the game. The team said Tuesday there will be a variety of price ranges available for the tickets. Any leftover tickets will be sold on the Ticketmaster website.
Sport Chek is also offering fans an avenue to purchase tickets via its Facebook page. People who comment on a special contest post will be entered to win the chance to buy a pair of tickets in the sports retailer’s section at the Saddledome for the price of $200 per pair.
Finally, Calgary Co-op stores will give Flames fans the opportunity to enter in-store draws for the chance to purchase tickets.
Tickets may also be available through the NHL Ticket Exchange website. The team cautions fans the site is the only verified source for resale tickets.
