They’ve been at it for a few weeks already, but the City of Calgary’s spring clean-up officially began Monday.
Daytime residential street sweeping will run until the beginning of June, while nighttime sweeping on major routes will continue until the end of June.
When crews are in your neighbourhood, your vehicle could be ticketed and towed if it’s left parked where “no parking” signs are placed along the road.
Calgarians are also asked to move their garbage and recycling bins away from the street when sweeping is scheduled.
The City sweeps over 16,000 lane kilometres of paved roads each spring.
