After 9 a.m. on weekdays, there will be two left turn lanes on eastbound Memorial Drive onto northbound Edmonton Trail N.E.
The city expects the lane reversal will reduce delays during peak periods by about 30 per cent.
The city is making a number of operational and safety improvements along Memorial Drive as part of ongoing improvement projects. These include improved pedestrian signals, upgraded crosswalks and new pathway connections, as well as improvements to the cycle track between the river pathway and Edmonton Trail.
