I think most Albertans would rate door to door sales people just above politicians but that doesn’t mean they should be banned from doing their job.
The provincial government rolling out new rules that go into effect in January stopping unsolicited door to door sales of energy products, from furnaces to electricity company contracts.
Like them or hate them we can’t forget that it’s a job for those men and women knocking on your door. We know they can be aggressive but there are already rules in place where you can cancel within 10 days of signing any door to door contract.
Instead of spending time coming up with rules that could see more job losses (something that far too many Albertans are familiar with) how about figuring out a way to create more jobs.
Remember as a homeowner you have the ultimate power to close the door on any sales person.
