Calgary Police have charged 36 year old Zachery Frederick Rider with one count of second degree murder, one count of assault and one count of assault with a weapon.
The charges come after Rider was located early Friday morning and went through a lengthy interview process with police.
Police say the investigation is ongoing, however, they aren’t searching for anymore suspects.
Rider is set to appear in court on Monday.
Calgary police have located a man wanted for questioning in relation to a murder in Bankview earlier this week.
Zachery Rider is now being questioned by police.
It was Tuesday afternoon when police were called to a home in Bankview and found a man dead inside.
The victim has been identified as 58 year old Richard Pember.
A cause of death is not beaing released.
Police announced Thursday the death of a man in Bankview has been ruled a homicide. They are looking for another man believed to have information about the case.
Police were called to the home in the 1800 block of 17 Street S.W. Tuesday afternoon by the fire department. They say a man walked into a fire station on 10 Avenue S.W., saying he needed help for his roommate. Firefighters drove him to a home in Bankview.
58-year-old Richard Pember was found dead inside the home. Another man was found outside the building with minor injuries. He was treated on scene by EMS and put under the care of police.
Detectives are looking for 36-year-old Zachery Frederick Rider. They say multiple attempts to locate him have failed.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
