A man is in serious condition in hospital after a crash Tuesday morning on Glenmore Trail.
Police say it happened at about 10:30 a.m. between Sarcee Trail and 69 Street S.W.
EMS said a pick-up truck lost control, left the road and struck a fence on the south side of Glenmore Trail.

They say a man in his mid-40’s had part of his upper arm impaled on a metal fence post.
Crews were able to free him, but were unable to remove a 2 ft. portion of the post until reaching the hospital.
The victim was transported to the Foothills Medical Centre with upper arm, ankle and other soft tissue injuries in serious, but stable condition
No one else was injured.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
