The Calgary Stampeders played host to the BC Lions today in the West Final at McMahon Stadium with 32,115 screaming fans in attendance. The Stamps got the ball first and on their opening drive and ended it with a touchdown from Lemar Durnat, with the two point convert it was 8-0 for Calgary.
After one quarter the Lions couldn’t put any points on the board so the score remained 8-0 Stamps.

To start the second Calgary had the ball and with a 12 play drive the white horse road again with a touchdown from Marquay McDaniel with the extra point it was 15-0 for the Stampeders. With 4:44 left in the second DaVaris Daniels caught a 76 yard pass and run for another touchdown making it 22-0 Calgary. Mr. Automatic adds another 26 yard field goal extending the Stamps lead to 25-0. And then Jamar Wall picked off a pass by BC quarterback Jennings and ran it into the end zone and with the extra point it was 32-0 for the Calgary Stampeders at the half. The BC Lions finally get some points on the board with a touchdown 9 minutes into the third making it 32-6 Stamps. |The rest of the quarter was fought hard by both teams and ended with Calgary in the lead 32-7. Scoring in the fourth didn’t happen until about the eight minute make when Lemar Durant had his second touchdown of the game making it 39-7 for Calgary. The Lions did manage another touchdown but were no match for the Calgary Stampeders who put a few more points on the board. The final was 42-15 for Calgary who are off to the Grey Cup in Toronto to face the Ottawa Red Blacks on Sunday the 27th, pre-game show goes at 2:30 with the kick-off at 4:30 right here on News Talk 770.
