Calgary Police are looking for the public’s help in tracking down a truck involved in a suspicious incident in McKenzie Towne Monday morning.
A patrol officer spotted a truck stopped in the roundabout in the community at about 11 a.m. The officer pulled over to offer help. When he approached the vehicle he noticed a young girl, around 10 to 13, in the front passenger seat who appeared visibly upset.As the officer tried to talk to the driver, the truck took off to Deerfoot Trail.
Police followed as the truck exited at 130 Avenue S.E., where it struck a car waiting for a pedestrian. It then fled the scene.
The truck is described as a dirty blue Dodge Ram, with a dirt-covered B.C. plate. The first letter of the plate is believed to be a D, and the truck will have front-end damage from the collision.
The driver is described as white, between 35 and 40 years old with dirty blonde hair and a slim build.
