Two farms in Saskatchewan have been placed under quarantine in connection with a case of bovine tuberculosis near Brooks.
There are now a total of 35 cases of bovine TB across the two provinces.
The cases in Saskatchewan are not new cases of the bacterial disease, but were traced to an infected herd in Alberta.
The source of the infection is not clear.
Last week, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) warned more ranches could be quarantined and suggested the process of testing cattle and tracing their origins could last months.
