A high-profile murder trial in Red Deer won’t happen until the spring of 2018.
47-year-old William Blaine Baker was dropped off at the Red Deer hospital in February and was quickly pronounced dead at the scene.

A few days later, RCMP charged Shane Dion McPhee with second-degree murder.
Lawyers have set aside March 19 to April 6, 2018, for a trial.
The 41-year-old McPhee remains in custody.
