Airdrie RCMP are asking the public’s help for information regarding two separate hit and run incidents.
on November 5th around 7:00 P.M., Airdrie RCMP were called to a pedestrian involved collision in the area of Luxstone Blvd, north of Yankee Valley Blvd. Upon arrival, EMS and the Airdrie Fire Department determined that a 44 year-old women was hit by a vehicle while she was attempting to cross the street in an unmarked crosswalk. Police do not believe speed or alcohol were factors.
The women was transported to Foothills Hospital in Calgary with non-life threatening injuries, and the collision remains under investigation.
And back on November 2nd at approximately 7:45 a.m., a 48 year old Airdrie man was crossing the intersection of Big Springs Drive S.E. and East Lake Boulevard S.E. when he was struck by a vehicle. The man was walking northbound with his dog, and suffered minor injuries.
The suspect vehicle is described as a newer model red Chevrolet sedan.
