At approximately 2:00 am on Saturday, November 5th, EMS and the Calgary Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 100 block of Coverton Ht. NE.
One person was found dead inside the home once the fire was put out.
Three people were transported to hospital, including a middle-aged male who sustained potentially life-threatening burns and smoke inhalation. However, he was considered to be stable at the time of transport.
Two other people, a middle-aged female and another female in her late teens were transported to Foothills Medical Centre with minor injuries, and both are in stable condition.
Paramedics were unaware of any relationship between the three individuals, and remained on scene following the fire. Cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
