Alberta’s PCs were ousted from power in the May 2015 election, and this weekend they’ll spend some time renewing their core values and developing party policy that they hope will return them to Government.
Interim PC Leader Ric McIver doesn’t like some of the talk he’s hearing surrounding some proposed policy amendments. He’s been told of a few which would have the PC Caucus report to the unelected PC board of directors. His feeling is that proposal has come straight from the board.
“Not everybody, but I think there’s probably some that want caucus to answer to them like employees, but when you do that you turn the political party into a corporation. Albertans will never vote for a corporation to run their province in a general election.
