Seven people are facing charges and warrants have been arrested for three others after ALERT shut down a drug trafficking network in Brooks, Alberta.
ALERT alleges the group was operating as a dial-a-dope network and played a significant role in trafficking cocaine in the city.
The three-month investigation netted a total of 20 charges against 10 men, including suppliers and street-level dealers.
40-year-old Mohamed Abdi Yusuf is suspected of running the operation.
Police seized 14 grams of cocaine and various drug paraphernalia during a search of his home last Friday.
Also facing charges are 23-year-old Seku Boikay, 26-year-old Jaamac Jaamac Cali, 41-year-old Mohamed Abdusab Ahmed, 35-year-old Nybol Chul Ruach, 30-year-old Adrianne Morin and 21-year-old Kaeden Parr.
Arrest warrants have been issued for 28-year-old Abdifatah Ahmed, 21-year-old Mamady Cissoko and 20-year-old Ahmed Maalin.
