The Calgary Flames were back in northern Illinois Tuesday night taking on the Blackhawks.
It was Calgary’s second game there in only 8 days.
It took until the last minute of the first period for the first goal at the United Center in downtown Chicago. Patrick Kane scored to give his club the lead. Shots in the opening period were 12-5 in favour of the Flames.
Following the second intermission, Michael Frolik would tie things up on a give-and-go from Mikael Backlund, 1-1. That would hold after the first 40 minutes.
The game opened up for the high flying Hawks in the third period. They scored four times from Artem Anisimov, Tyler Motte, Artemi Panarin and Niklas Hjalmarsson. That would be your final.
The Flames now head across the continent to California to take on the Sharks Thursday.
Puck drop at 8:30.
