The Flames made it 3 in a row Friday night dumping the visiting Ottawa Senators.
Dougie Hamilton opened the scoring 5 minutes into the first period with a blast from the point that found a seam and beat Senator’s goaltender Andrew Hammond. Erik Karlsson & Kyle Turris made them pay on the penalty kill, however, capitalizing on penalties to Matthew Tkachuk and Sam Bennett to put the Sens ahead 2-1 after 20 minutes.
Bennett got back to it in the second period, scoring the equalizer early on. Hamilton struck back on the powerplay with his second of the game, sneaking one just under the crossbar giving the Flames the lead back 3-2.
In the third period, Sean Monahan scored his 4th of the year to add an insurance marker and then Michael Frolik tacked on another to the Flames score-sheet. That would be you’re final score, 5-2 Flames.
Calgary stays at home to welcome the Capitals on Sunday.
Puck drop at 7:30.
