A warning from police about Halloween candy being tainted with drugs.
It comes after Tsuu T’ina Police pulled over a vehicle this week and found a significant amount of marijuana and THC products, including some that were disguised as candy.
Officials say the candy was in the form of Lego figures.
Police also found 27 THC Syringes.
A 39 year old Calgary man has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and will appear in Court in December.
Police say the bright colouring, multiple flavours and toy like composition of the THC Candies is quite concerning due to the attraction it may pose to children.
THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) is the chemical responsible for most of marijuana’s psychological effects.
Police are urging parents to exercise vigilance this Halloween and to contact them if they see anything suspicious in a child’s treat bag.
