Just in time for the season to start, the Flames have re-signed with forward Johnny Gaudreau.
The team announced Monday that Gaudrea has agreed to a six-year contract extension.
The deal is worth $40.5 million, which averages out to $6.75 million a season.
Gaudreau was Calgary’s leading scorer last season with 30 goals and 48 assists in 79 games played.
He tied for sixth in league scoring.
The Flames take on the Edmonton Oilers in their first regular season game on Wednesday.
