A trial date has been set for a Calgary man accused of killing his wife.
The trial for Joshua Burgess by judge and jury is scheduled to last three weeks beginning Feb. 20, 2018.
In August, Burgess consented to stand trial for the second-degree murder Shannon Madill (Burgess), who was reported missing in late November 2014.
For seven months, her family held out hope she’d return. Instead, her body was found at the home the couple shared on Spiller Road S.E.
Madill was an artist, actress, musician and photographer.
