Winter has arrived early in parts of the Prairies.
Most of Saskatchewan is under a snowfall warning, while Environment Canada is forecasting up to 50 cm of snow to fall in northeast Manitoba by the end of Thursday.
Alberta is also seeing some of the white stuff. A snowfall warning is in effect in the Cypress Hills area.
If you’re heading east be aware of travel advisories. Saskatchewan’s Ministry of Highways is advising against travel along the Trans Canada on the west side of the province around Swift Current. There have been reports of vehicles in the ditch between Moose Jaw and Regina.
In Saskatoon heavy, wet snow has been making for some tricky driving and power has been knocked out in some parts of the city.
