A Calgary senior is behind bars accused of sexually assaulting two little girls.
The 68-year-old man was first arrested in June. At the time he was charged with assaulting a nine-year-old girl. He was released on a promise to appear in court.
He is now in the Remand Centre after another alleged victim came forward and new charges were laid. The father of the first alleged victim tells Global News the family is outraged the suspect was ever released. “I’ve taken steps and matters to protect my daughter. I’ve quit my job and become a full-time dad, just to stay home so she feels safe when she goes to bed at night and feels safe when she gets to go to school in the morning. It’s been a really tough thing on our whole family.”
Ronald Pearson will be back in court Thursday. The police investigation is ongoing.
