They are not saying which daycare or even where in Calgary it is.
But Alberta Health Services officials say they are notifying families whose children attend a city daycare, as well as staff, as they have been exposed to a case of “active, infectious tuberculosis.”
Officials do say it’s not a risk to the general public and isn’t an ongoing risk to staff or attendees.
The TB Services and Communicable Disease Control Teams are working with the Medical Officer of Health and others to do follow-up screening, which is routine.
AHS says it’s not releasing the name of the daycare or any other information, as they are reaching out directly to those impacted.
