Saturday night is the official kick off to the race that will determine the leader of the Alberta’s Progressive Conservative party. The kick-off party is being held in Lethbridge. The leader will then be picked at a delegated convention in Calgary on March 18.
Chairman of Political Studies at MRU, Duane Bratt, feels the race is all about Jason Kenney uniting the right. Kenny has to take advantage of the pile of candidates that don’t want to unite the rights.
Progressive Conservative house leader Richard Starke, former PC MLA Donna Kennedy-Glans and a Calgary lawyer Byron Nelson are all running against Jason Kenny.
