The Alberta government wants to review the positives and negatives from the Fort McMurray wildfire.
The province is looking for a contractor to conduct an independent review into what went well, and what didn’t, during the evacuation.
They hope the review can be done by next summer.
The Fort McMurray wildfire in May forced nearly 90,000 people out of the city for a month and destroyed 10% of its structures.
The province conducted similar reviews after the 2011 Slave Lake wildfire and the 2013 floods in southern Alberta.
