The Calgary Stampede has it’s Royalty for 2017.
Chestermere’s Megan Peters is the new Queen and her Princesses are Calgary’s Brittney Lloyd and Lizzie Ryman.
The Stampede Royalty was crowned after a month long competition focusing on riding skills, public speaking and a number of unique opportunities where the ladies were able to shine in social settings.
Peters, Lloyd and Ryman will act as official ambassadors of the Calgary Stampede, making over 400 appearances world wide during their reign where they will promote western heritage and community values.
Stampede Royalty committee chair, Kathy James, says it’s always difficult to choose just three to represent the Stampede each year, adding she’s confidant Megan, Brittney and Lizzie will make incredible ambassadors.
