It was the first time in history that two teams entered a game with 7 game streaks or more, but for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers it came to an end. Calgary put points on the board first with their first drive of the game with a touchdown by Kamar Jordan and with the extra point it was 7-0 Stamps. Rene Paredes added another field goal midway through the first to make it 10-0. To end the quarter the Stamps kept their 10 nothing lead.
Winnipeg started the second quarter with possession of the ball but were unable to put up any points. Calgary put points on the board around the 8 minute mark with a touchdown from Lemar Durant then the 2 point convert made it 18-0 Calgary. The Stamps got the ball back on a 44 yard pick by Jamar Wall. The turn over ended with Jerome Messam plowing 15 yards for another Stampeder touchdown making it 24-0 Calgary. Bombers finally got a touchdown just after the 3 minute warning making it 24-7 for the Stamps. Mr. Automatic added another field goal making it 27-7 Calgary at the half.
The Stamps opened scorning in the third with a field goal by Rene Paredes making it 30-7. The Blue Bombers get their second touchdown of the game from Clarence Denmark add a field goal to make it 30-14 Calgary at the end of the quarter.
The Bombers started making a game of it in the fourth, scoring their third TD of the night making 30-20 for the Stamps. The Bombers had yet another touchdown after a fumble by the Stamps with the extra point it was 30-27 Calgary still lead. The Stamps missed one field goal but got another to make it 33-27. The Bombers got a touch down with seconds left on the clock with the extra point Winnipeg took the lead 34-33. And then with a 52 yard field goal Rene Paredes does the unthinkable and it is good! The Calgary Stampeders win 36-34 over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
