Terror charges have been stayed against an Edmonton area teen.
The boy, who cannot be identified, was to stand trial next month.
He was 17 when RCMP arrested him last year in Beaumont, a bedroom community south of Edmonton.
Police alleged he was planning to leave Canada to fight with Islamic State militants.
He faced two charges including attempting to leave the country to commit a terrorist activity.
Court records show the charges were stayed earlier this week, but the crown did not explain why.
