The man charged in the death of his father west of the city last summer has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.
Myles McLean’s body was found on the ground near Highway 1 and Morley Road on Canada Day 2015.
A couple of days later, RCMP charged his son, Tristan Wesley, with second-degree murder, assault causing bodily harm and uttering threats.
The Crown Prosecutors Office confirms, earlier this week, the 28-year-old pleaded guilty to manslaughter and assault causing bodily harm.
The case is expected back in court on January 17th.
