A man critically injured in a fire in Bowness this morning has now died from his injuries.
Just after 7 o’clock there were multiple calls to 911 with reports of smoke coming from a three story apartment building in the 4500 block of 73rd St. N.W.
When crews arrive they saw smoke coming from the the balcony of the second-floor suite.
Crews found a man in his 60’s inside and he was rushed to hospital by EMS, where he later died.
Crews extinguished the fire, containing it to the suite of origin. Once the smoke was cleared residents were allowed to return.
Officials the suite had working smoke alarms.
No word on the cause of fire.
