RCMP are releasing more information on the human remains found near Brooks this spring.
Mohamed Jama Abdi was on vacation in mid-July of last year, and when he didn’t return to work, he was reported as missing.
Investigators now confirm it was the 45-year-old’s body found in a rural area west of Brooks this past April.

Foul play was suspected early on, and the case was deemed a homicide.
A Canada-wide warrant has now been issued for 41-year-old Ali Abdullah Awale, a former resident of Brooks.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to come forward.
