A five-year-old child is dead after a crash in Northern Alberta.
RCMP say a pickup truck crossed the centre line on Highway 35, between Manning and High Level, and collided with two SUVs at about 3:30 Monday afternoon.
The child was in one of those SUVs.
The 35-year-old woman driving that vehicle suffered serious injuries, while an 11-year-old suffered minor injuries.
A 70-year-old man and 65-year-old woman, both from Medicine Hat, were in the other SUV and suffered minor injuries, as did the 31-year-old man driving the pickup truck.
The investigation into the cause of the crash continues.
The name of the child isn’t being released.
