Calgary Police have arrested the man wanted in connection with a double stabbing Monday and they’re crediting the help of some alert citizens.
A man and woman were rushed to hospital Monday morning with serious stab wounds after they were attacked in a home in Huntington Hills.
The accused, Qisong Zhou lived in the home.
There were two other adults home at the time and three children, but Detective Tom Bain says fortunately the kids did not witness the stabbing.
Detective Tom Bains says police got a break Tuesday when the suspect was spotted at a bank in Beddington. Then a number of people reported seeing him along Deerfoot Trail.
“Public tips played a crucial role in locating the suspect. This is a great example of the public and police working together to keep Calgarians safe.”
Police took him into custody without incident.
Zhou is facing a number of charges including attempted murder.
