It was the last hurrah for the Stampeders at Mosaic Stadium on Taylor Field as they faced the Saskatchewan Roughriders wrapping up a home and home. After a slow first quarter the Stamps managed a field goal to make it 3-0 for Calgary. Then in the second 2 more field goals for Rene Paredes. The Riders responded with a touchdown in the final seconds of the half on a quarterback sneak making it 9-7 after two quarters. Jerome Messam opened scoring in the third with a touch down with the extra point. Saskatchewan managed a field goal to make it 16-10 after three. On to the fourth defense dominated on both sides. Paredes made yet another field goal late in the quarter to make it 19-10 for the Stamps which turned out to be the last scoring play of the game. Stamps next game is against the BC Lions, Friday August 19th pre-game show starts a 6:30pm on News Talk 770 followed by the kick-off at 8pm.
