While in the air anything can happen, turbulence, refusing to serve alcohol, and even a monkey on the loose.
Uncontrollable turbulence on a JetBlue plane forced an early landing at an airport in Rapid City, South Dakota. The flight was traveling from Boston to Sacramento at the time.
Twenty-four people were sent to hospital after the landing.
“I’ve never been on a plane where I’ve seen more than about five minutes of turbulence,” says Bruce. “I can’t imagine how terrifying it would be to be on a plane to the point where the turbulence is so bad that 24 people had to be sent to the hospital. That would just be, well unnerving to say the least.”
Bruce wonders if it’s possible that a flight attendant didn’t know she’d have to serve alcohol.
“A Muslim flight attendant has sued ExpressJet, accusing the airline of wrongly suspending her because she refused to serve alcohol to passengers,” says Bruce.
The flight attendant refused because of religious reasons, which Bruce doesn’t have a problem with.
However, “had she never been on a flight before? This is one of the duties that they provide,” says Bruce.
Lastly, is this article a hoax, or was there really a monkey on the loose?
On a Frontier Airlines flight from Ohio to Las Vegas it was reported that a helper monkey got loose, but that fact wasn’t confirmed.
“So this helper monkey on the loose story may have come, I don’t know from who,” says Bruce.
