Nothing like a good, insane, comeback to trigger the age-old debate about fans leaving a game before the bell, whistle, buzzer, or whatever sound signifies that IT’S OVAH!!!!!
Ya, there were a lot of empty seats where bums had been only minutes before John Jennings handed the Stamps overtime on a platter with an ill advised panic pass where taking the sack and punting the ball would have gone a long way towards ensuring defeat was not in fact snatched from the jaws of victory. And that fact didn’t go unnoticed by the players in several post game interviews.
Me? If I’m paying to see a game, or any kind of live event my preference is to stay until the end, maybe just because I’m cheap. My feeling on early outs….well….it’s your money, If you don’t feel you’re getting value for it, your call. If you miss an odds-defying comeback like Friday’s, that’s on you. I’m not going to question your dedication to the cause.
Ever change channels when you were watching a game and your team was in the process of suffering an ugly beatdown? I have. Difference is, no one’s around to question your ‘true fan’ cred then.
