A teen has suffered “limb threatening” damage, after a homemade explosive device went off in his hands Monday afternoon.
It happened just before 1 p.m. on Midridge Close SE.
The 17-year-old was taken to Foothills Hospital in otherwise stable condition.
EMS spokesperson, Stuart Brideaux, says that the injuries to each arm below the wrist are significant.
Police at first called the device a homemade firecracker, but are now calling it a homemade explosive.
